Practical screening, fencing and protection for water, animals, crops and equipment
Agricultural mesh must be selected for the actual exposure: water quality, animal contact, UV, soil, fertilizers, salt, impact and cleaning. We supply woven filter mesh, welded wire mesh, diamond mesh, insect screen and fabricated guards for irrigation, livestock, aquaculture, crop protection, ventilation and general equipment protection.
What Customers Need to Control
- Drippers and nozzles clog with sand, silt, organic matter or biofilm
- Fence or cage life is shortened by coating damage, manure, salt or soil contact
- Aperture is too large for the pest—or too small for required airflow
- Sharp cut edges create handling and animal-contact hazards
Application-to-Solution Matrix
| Process / Duty | Recommended Mesh Solution | Key Selection Inputs |
|---|---|---|
| Irrigation filtration | Woven stainless element, disc or supported cylinder | Water source, particle size, emitter passage, flow, backwash |
| Livestock and poultry | Welded or diamond mesh with safe edge/frame | Animal size, impact, aperture, coating, cleaning |
| Aquaculture | Stainless or suitably coated mesh after water-chemistry review | Species, salinity, fouling, current, predator load |
| Insect/ventilation screen | Fine woven insect mesh | Target pest, airflow, visibility, frame and weather exposure |
| Equipment and storage protection | Welded, crimped or perforated guard | Impact, access, opening, corrosion and safety distance |
Verified Data & Public Application Evidence
Public industry case
Public application benchmark — irrigation filtration. Dorstener Wire Tech publicly offers 316L stainless-steel irrigation filter elements across 5–1,500 µm for its own product line and identifies sand, silt, debris and organic matter as common clogging sources. The range shows how broad irrigation duties can be; it should not be copied into a specification without emitter data, water analysis, flow and a cleaning plan, and it is not a Kangyao guaranteed range.
Engineering interpretation
Standards note: Industrial Wire Mesh identifies SMA 1201 for insect screening and SMA 6001 for metal protection screens. For industrial woven wire cloth used in particle separation, use ISO 9044 or ASTM E2016 as applicable; do not substitute an insect-screen designation for an industrial filtration specification.
