Mining, Quarrying & Material Screening

Screen media selected for cut accuracy, throughput, wear and blinding control

A screen deck is a process component. Aperture, wire diameter, weave/crimp, open area, tensioning, feed presentation and machine motion together determine capacity and product sizing. We supply crimped woven screen cloth, square and rectangular openings, welded panels and fabricated screen sections for aggregate, ore, coal, sand, gravel, fertilizer, recycling and bulk-material handling.

Screen media selected for cut accuracy, throughput, wear and blinding control

What Customers Need to Control

  • Blinding and pegging reduce effective open area
  • Premature wire wear or fatigue at hooks and support bars
  • Off-spec product caused by aperture growth, poor tension or feed segregation
  • Long shutdowns caused by a screen panel that does not fit the deck
What Customers Need to Control

Application-to-Solution Matrix

Process / Duty Recommended Mesh Solution Key Selection Inputs
Accurate dry sizing Square-opening crimped screen Cut size, tolerance, feed top size, deck motion
Wet/sticky feed Rectangular/long-slot or self-cleaning-style geometry Moisture, clay, pegging mode, slot orientation
Heavy impact/scalping Heavier wire crimped or welded panel Impact energy, top size, support spacing, wear life
Fine screening Fine woven screen with suitable support/tension Cut size, throughput, blinding aid, fatigue control

Verified Data & Public Application Evidence

Public industry case

Public operating benchmark — compact industrial screening. Haver & Boecker’s industrial-screening brochure states that its DMS machine can use apertures from 100 µm to 25 mm and process up to 200 kg/h, while its larger UMD covers 100 µm to 50 mm and can process up to 1 t/h, depending on feed and cut size. These are machine-specific supplier figures, not Kangyao capacity guarantees. They demonstrate why throughput cannot be predicted from aperture alone.

Engineering interpretation

Standards note: ISO 9044 covers square-aperture industrial woven wire cloth, but excludes pre-crimped and welded screens; those constructions require the relevant dimensional standard and an agreed inspection method. Purchasing specifications should state aperture, wire diameter, material, panel size, edge preparation and inspection basis.
