Controlled retention. Stable flow. Components built to fit.
Industrial filtration is a system decision, not simply a mesh-count purchase. Particle size and shape, fluid properties, differential pressure, temperature, cleaning method and component geometry must be evaluated together. Kangyao supplies stainless-steel woven filter mesh and fabricated parts—from discs and packs to cylinders and supported elements—matched to drawings, samples and operating data.
What Customers Need to Control
- Unstable filtrate quality caused by an imprecise retention target
- Excessive clean pressure drop or short service cycles
- Mesh deformation, edge bypass or poor sealing under load
- Premature corrosion caused by an unsuitable alloy or cleaning chemistry
Application-to-Solution Matrix
| Process / Duty | Recommended Mesh Solution | Key Selection Inputs |
|---|---|---|
| Fine liquid/gas filtration | Dutch-weave filter cloth; single- or multilayer discs | Retention target, viscosity, clean ΔP, allowable terminal ΔP |
| Strainers and equipment protection | Plain/twill woven mesh; perforated support; cylinders or baskets | Largest damaging particle, flow, collapse load, cleaning access |
| Filter leaves, plates and cartridges | Woven mesh with support layer or perforated tube | Effective area, seam/joint, pressure direction, cyclic loading |
| Reusable process filters | 316/316L mesh where media compatibility is confirmed | CIP/backwash chemistry, temperature, cycle count, surface finish |
Verified Data & Public Application Evidence
Public industry case
Public industry reference — precision filtration in aerospace. Haver & Boecker reports that its MINIMESH filter cloth, developed in 1954, was used in all Apollo flights and later in the Space Shuttle and civil aviation. The useful lesson is not the brand claim, but the engineering principle: a defined weave, wire diameter and mesh geometry can create a reproducible metallic filtration structure. This is an external reference, not a Kangyao project.
Engineering interpretation
Verification basis: ISO 9044:2016 specifies requirements and test methods for square-aperture industrial woven wire cloth. ASTM E2016-22 covers general industrial woven wire cloth; ASTM E2814-22 separately covers woven wire filter cloth used for solids-from-fluid separation based on desired particle retention.
